• The law with respect to clinical cosmetology is very unregulated.
• Only MBBS/MD are eligible to practise cosmetology (as per IADVL guidelines)
• Other medical grads can work as consultants (without hands-on practising) under the guidance of mbbs/dermat/corporate clinics/hospitals (Law permits)
• Non-Medical students pursuing this field can only work as therapists in a hospital/clinic.  
• Those willing to set up a clinic must have an mbbs/dermat onboard.  
• Although, some topics under physical exfoliation, Enzyme peels, facials, PMU, Nutrition & low-intensity IPL pseudo-lasers need no pre-requisites.
